Description
The principle and experiments on the measurement of grease stain in petroleum pipeline using the thermal neutron gauge were reported. the designed simulated experimental device was aimed at small pipelines. It mainly consists of a thermal neutron beam emissive device and a thermal neutron beam detecting device. The experiment result indicates that it is very sensitive if the thermal neutron beam is used and its measuring accuracy is 1.6 mm. If the total neutron beam is used, it is convenient, but is not so sensitive, and its accuracy is 4.4 mm. (authors)
