The atomic nucleus and the short range structure of nuclear matter
Description
The author outlines the present situation at the frontier between nuclear physics and elementary particle physics. He discusses the nucleon-nucleon interaction within the nucleus, the meson exchange currents, the creation of real pions, the propagation of the Δ resonance in the nucleus, and quarks inside the nucleus.
