Heterovalent substitution in compounds on the basis of rare earth oxides with DyMn2O5 structure
Description
Possibility of heterovalent substitution in RMn2O5 (R-Nd, Gd, Y) is studied. M2+ABO5 compounds where M2+ - Mg, Ca, Sr; A3+ - Mn, Cr, Fe; B5+ - Nb, Sb are produced. R1-xCaxMx5Mn2-xO5 systems (M5+-Nb, Sb) are studied. It is shown that in Nd1-xCaxAB1-xNbxO5 systems where A3+-Mn, Cr, Fe; B4+ - Mn, Ti formation of unlimited series of solid solutions, i.e. O<=x<=1 is possible. When Mg2+ or Sr2+ is substituted for Ca2+, single-phase compositions are not produced. In Cd1-xCaxMn2-xSbxO5 system the homogeneity region is within 0<=x<=0.5, and for YMn2-xSb0.5xSb0.5xO5 - 0<=x<=0.4. In all other cases heterogeneous systems are formed
