Optimal selection of plasma parameters and magnetic measurement locations for tokamak feedback control

Description

Using multivariate analysis of a database of top-bottom asymmetric ideal MHD equilibria, an optimum set of control parameters is determined according to a predefined criterion of controllability. Those magnetic measurements with maximal predictive power in respect of the selected parameters are derived in stepwise fashion from a set of candidate measurement locations.
