Description
The results of the magnetic transformation study of the Ni3Al-(57Co+57Fe) surface layer by the 57Fe Moessbauer effect in dependence on the penetration depth of (57Co+57Fe) are presented. These results are discussed in terms of the magnetic polarization of the Co (and Fe) atoms and the appearance of the 'giant' magnetic moment. The critical concentration of Co+Fe impurities sufficient for transformation of the originally paramagnetic surface layer into ferromagnetic at room temperature was determined to be 1.03 at.'=..
