Preparation and crystal structures of hexanitroruthenates(2) of lithium and potassium
Description
A method of preparation has been described and crystal structure has been studied of Li4[Ru(NO2)6] · 12H2O (1) and K4[Ru(NO2)6] (2). Crystallographic data for 1 are as follows: a=11.749(9), c=16.807(12) A, sp.gr. I4, Z=4, dcalcld=1.778 g/cm3; for 2: a=8.595(1) A, α=52.23(2) deg; sp.gr. R3, Z=1, dcalcld.=2.414 g/cm3. The structures are built from complex anions [Ru(NO2)6]4- and alkali metal cations. Coordination polyhedrons of Ru are nearly regular octahedrons formed by nitrogen atoms of nitrite groups with Ru-N bond length of 2.054-2.102 A. 8 refs.; 4 figs.; 4 tabs
