A symposium at the equator
Description
A symposium devoted to the Oklo phenomenon and organised jointly by the IAEA, the French Atomic Energy Commission and the Gabonese government was held in Gabon 23 - 27 June 1975. Topics discussed include the geology of the uranium-rich Oklo region; the origin and operation of the fossil nuclear reactors; reactor physics aspects; plutonium formation; thermal output; and the duration of the reactions.
