Fractional-quasiarticle tunneling through a local fractional quantum hall system

Description
Fractional quasiparticles are elementary excitations in fractional quantum Hall (QH) systems. We discuss fractional-quasiparticle tunneling through a local fractional QH system, which is sandwiched between integer QH systems. We review the current-noise measurement in a QH system, and then demonstrate the noise measurement for detecting the fractional-quasiparticle tunneling. (author)
