Description

The purpose of the Safety Guide is to give specific design and operational guidance for protection from fire and explosion in nuclear power plants, based on the general guidance given in the relevant sections of the 'Safety Code of Practice - Design' and the 'Safety Code of Practice - Operation' of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The guide will confine itself to fire protection of safety systems and items important to safety, leaving the non-safety matters of fire protection in nuclear power plants to be decided upon the basis of the various available national and international practices and regulations. Abstract (German)

Das Sicherheits-Handbuch soll spezifische Anleitungen fuer die Planung und Durchfuehrung des Feuer- und Explosionschutzes in Kernkraftwerken geben. Sie beruhen auf den allgemeinen Richtlinien, wie sie in den entsprechenden Abschnitten des 'Safety Code of Practice - Design' und '-Operation' der IAEA gegeben werden. Die Anleitung beschraenkt sich auf den Feuerschutz von Sicherheitssystemen und Einrichtungen, die wichtig fuer die Sicherheit sind, sie laesst alle nicht die Sicherheit betreffenden Fragen des Feuerschutzes in Kernkraftwerken unberuecksichtigt, entsprechend den verschiedenen gueltigen nationalen und internationalen Verfahren und Vorschriften.
