Quadrupolar relaxation: application to study of anisotropic rotational diffusion

  • 1. Guelph Univ., ON (Canada)

Description

The cyanoboronhydride anion, have been studied in solution by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. Temperature dependent studies of spin-lattice relaxation times were used to deduce the Boron-11, Nitrogen-14 and Hydrogen-2 quadrupole coupling constants and the reorientational correlation times for the principal axis of the electrical field gradient. The values of the quadrupole coupling constant were compared to those obtained from molecular calculations performed in the laboratory. Results are presented

Part of:
Carbon-13 NMR of some aliphatic ketones
