Annual report of National Institute of Radiological Sciences of the fiscal year 1977

Description

Activities of the NIRS for the period of April 1976 to March 1977 are reported in individual summaries. As special research projects, the 'studies on the estimation of exposure doses due to environmental radiation' was concluded. In the 'studies on the estimation of dangers to the human body of low-level radiation,' a late radiation injuries laboratory was completed. Then, in the 'studies on medical usage of a cyclotron,' the therapy by fast neutrons and the applications of short-lived RIs have proceeded successfully. Contents are the following: special research projects; regular research works in such as physics, chemistry, biology, genetics, physiology/pathology, injuries, pharmacy, hygiene, clinics, and ecology; radioactivity surveys; supporting services; medical works; administrative works, and so on.
