Simple method of high-temperature separation of 111In from a massive tin target

Description

Method for quantitative separation of ultramicroamounts of indium isotopes to gaseous phase from metallic tin of up to 50 g mass, irradiated by protons or gamma-quanta is suggested. The method is simple, and is performed by tin melt tempering at 1225±10 K in the atmosphere of hydrofluoric acid vapors (PHF ≅ PH2O) at their decreased pressure (∼0.4 Pa)
