Present status of the spectrometer system

  • 1. Nagoya Univ. (Japan). Dept. of Physics

Description

Present status of the multiparticle spectrometer facilities in the several laboratories are reviewed. The essential points of the spectrometer, which we are going to construct in the 8 GeV/c PI-1 beam line, are to detect gamma rays in addition to charged particles and to cover decayed particles in wide solid angle with good efficiency and resolution. The plans of the conversion of the TOKIWA spectrometer into 'charged and gamma' spectrometer and further developments using solenoid magnet are proposed. (auth.)
