Description
Crystal structure of Ba3In2O6 (1) compound was determined by X-ray diffraction method. Tetragonal lattice parameters: a=4.1925(6), c=21.689(3) A, Z=2, F. gr. 14/mmm. The structure of (1) is the derivative of Sr3Ti2O7 structure, but ordered position of anion vacancies in the (1) structure leads to realization of other coordination surroundings for atoms. Tetragonal pyramide is the coordination polyhedron of In atom. These polyhedrons, joined by common vertex in the basis, form endless [InO2]- layers perpendicularly the [001] direction. Barium atoms are located among the layers
