Stability of thermoelectric properties of solid solutions of the n-type on the base of Bi2Te3
Description
A study was made on stability of thermoelectric properties of Bisub(2)Tesub(3-x)Se(x=0.12-0.6) alloys doped with SbI3 and Hg2Cl2 at room temperature and annealing up to 300 deg C during 500-600 h. Properties of all alloys are stable under conditions of their storage at room temperature during 5-6 years. Properties of alloys with a low selenium content, which are not included to ordering, remain unchanged on annealing. Alloys of Bisub(2)Tesub(2.4)Sesub(0.6) composition alloyed with Hg2Cl2 change their properties in result of annealing above 200 deg C. Change of properties is explained by chlorine atom transfer from Se position into Te1 position. Thermoelectric efficiency does not change at that
