Mass composition of primary cosmic rays ??? for energies of 10 - 1000 TeV on the basis of the Pamir experiment results

Description

Carbon emulsion chambers of the Pamir experiment at the altitude of 4370 m a.s.l. (600 g/cm2) register secondary particles of cosmic ray. As an outcome of these data, the energy spectrum of hadrons has been estimated. The spectra obtained have been compared with those obtained using another method of measurement (Pb-chamber) and energy estimation made in the Pamir experiment. Mass composition and slope of the primary cosmic ray spectrum have been estimated from the comparison of experimental spectra with the results of simulations of Nuclear Electromagnetic Cascades (NEC) in the atmosphere
