The comparison of crack resistance of base metal and welded joints for pressure vessel cases
Creators
Description
Static and cyclic crack resistance of 15x2MFA and 15x2HMFA steels and their welded joints are studied. It is shown that repair operations on reactor body and loading cycle asymmetry represent the basic factors out of the multitude of technological and operational ones, besides corrosion medium, that influence fatigue crack growth. Comparison of crack resistance characteristics of the basic metal and welded joints showed their almost complete identity
