Radial motion in the galactic system of globular clusters

  • 1. Royal Observatory, Edinburgh (UK)

Description

It is shown that the radial velocities of globular clusters close to the Galactic Centre direction are not consistent with a simple steady state model of the galactic halo. The result is unlikely to be altered significantly by subsequent improvements in distances, radial velocities or galactic models. (author)
