Emission from plasma-molecule systems bounded by a cylindrical surface

  • 1. Institute of Theoretical Physics, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR

Description

A theory is derived for the thermal emission from a plasma cylinder. The thermal motion of the electrons and the dynamics of the molecular subsystem are taken into account. A detailed numerical analysis of the emission spectra has been carried out. Some distinctive features in these spectra which stem from collective effects in the plasma and the presence of molecules have been identified. The effect of the geometric dimensions and the parameters of the plasma on the nature and structure of the resonances, including the width and shape of the molecular emission line, has been studied
