Description
A corpuscular optics method is described for transverse shaping of a particle beam to produce a rectangle of uniform 1-D or 2-D density and dynamically variable dimensions, e.g. during scanning. This technique has potential applications in hadrontherapy, the field used here to support the presentation, and for which its advantages over current methods are highlighted
Abstract (French)
On decrit une methode d'optique corpusculaire permettant la mise en forme transverse d'un faisceau de particules, de facon a obtenir un rectangle de densite uniforme 1-D ou 2-D et de dimensions variables dynamiquement, par exemple en cours de balayage. Cette technique est susceptible d'application en hadrontherapie, domaine utilise ici en support a l'expose, et pour lequel ses avantages par rapport aux methodes actuelles sont mis en exergue.
