Description
Investigated are the regularities of brittle fracture of high-strength reinforced steel in the Ca(OH)2 solution depending on medium temperature, chemical composition, strength and electrochemical properties of the steel. The 40Kh steel specimens were investigated after hardening and tempering at 150 deg C (2hrs.); investigated were the specimens of the 20KhGS2 and 20GS2 thermal-strengthened reinforced steels as well. It is shown, that development of corrosion cracks in the 20KhGS2 steel as well as cracking of the 40Kh steel specimens is due to adsorption reduction of surface strength of metal. However, in connection with the increased plasticity margin of 20KhTS2 thermal-strengthened reinforced steel it cracking resistance is higher as compared to the 40Kh steel specimens
