Properties of C + W co-implanted H13 steel by MEVVA ion source

Description

To achieve co-implantation without additional ion sources, the required implants are mixed to form a cathode of MEVVA ion source. C + W co-implantation into H13 steel is carried out with the new method. The surface of H13 steel is strengthened, hardness and wear resistance are improved. The corrosion resistance of H13 steel is improved compared with both of un-implanted and C + W dual-implanted H13 steel. The pitting corrosion potential of C + W (4 x 1017 cm-2) co-implanted H13 steel is over 200 mV higher than that of C + W dual-implanted H13 steel
