Proceeding of quantity determination of iodine at low concentration in a nitrate solution, in particular an uranyl nitrates solution

Description

This invention concerns a proceeding of quantity determination of iodine at low concentration in a nitrate solution, in particular a uranyl nitrates solution. We add to the sample to determine a reducing agent as ascorbic acid to maintain iodine to iodide state, then we measure the potential difference between a selective electrode of iodide ions and a reference electrode, we add successively a first and a second solution of iodide with known concentrations in iodide and having a reducing agent by measuring after every adding the potential differences between the electrodes, then we calculate from potential differences, concentrations and adding volumes, the initial concentration in iodine of the solution
