Comparison of metrological characteristics of selected types of dose equivalent meters
Description
The paper contains a comparison of the accuracy (closeness of agreement between the measurement result and the actual value of the measured quantity - accuracy) of the measurement of selected types of gamma radiation dose equivalent power meters. The meters used at the Department of Personal Dosimetry and Dosimetry of ZP, VUJE, a.s. were compared. for monitoring the working environment and sources of ionizing radiation in controlled bands and for monitoring workers' personal doses. 22 pieces and 10 types of hand-held, portable and permanently installed meters, calibrated for spatial dose equivalent power, were compared. Furthermore, 10 pieces of 2 types of electronic personal dosimeters, calibrated to personal dose equivalent, were compared. The above assessment can be beneficial for choosing the appropriate type of gauge depending on its purpose and purpose of future use. (authors)
