Beam dynamics studies on the stored proton beam in the SPS

  • 1. European Organization for Nuclear Research, Geneva (Switzerland)

Description

Recent improvements to the low-level radiofrequency system have resulted in a considerable increase in bunched beam lifetime. Single proton bunches have been stored for up to 18 hours. In the course of these studies, new instrumentation has been developed and other experiments relevant to panti p operation have been performed. (Auth.)
