Torque and momentum transfer in accreting black holes

Description

A very simple analytic model is presented of plasma accretion in a rotating black hole that is limited by the condition of weakness of the electromagnetic field but that displays very clearly the mechanisms by which, in a realistic situation, rotational energy can be extracted and a net charge can be induced on the hole. 7 references
