N-chloralkyl-nitridochloro complexes of molybdenum(V) and rhenium(VI)

  • 1. Marburg Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Fachbereich Chemie

Description

The complex AsPh4[Cl4MoN-C2Cl5] (I) is formed by the reduction of AsPh4[Cl5MoN-C2Cl5] with acetonitrile, whereas the rhenium complexes AsPh4[Cl5ReN-R] (R = CCl3, C2Cl5) (II, III) can be obtained by the reaction of tetraphenylarsonium chloride with the corresponding POCl3 solvates Cl3PO-(Cl4)ReN-R. According to the i.r. spectra the complex anions of I-III contain metal nitrogen triple bonds, in which the d1 system causes a Jahn-Teller stabilization of the MN bond. (author)
