Effect due to the Pauli principle and channel coupling
Description
The effect of the Pauli exclusion principle in a five-nucleon system is investigated in a presence of a breakup channel (d-3He→p-α). There are some almost forbidden relative states (AFS) in the d-3He scattering channel. The requirement that the relative state is approximately orthogonal to these AFS gives rise to an inner repulsive effect. The well-known almost energy-independent inner nodal behavior of the relative wave function is slightly affected by the coupling effect of the other channel. At a characteristic energy for the AFS, the effect of the AFS brings a sharp resonance-like contribution for the d-3He scattering. A contribution of an imaginary potential is discussed. (auth.)
