Evaluation of times of maximal involvement for early skin reactions following x irradiation combined with hyperthermic treatment
Description
Times of maximal involvement in mouse skin were determined for reactions produced by graded doses of x irradiation combined with hyperthermic treatment at 37.5, 41, 42, 42.5, and 430C for one hour. The times of maximal involvement in each case were found to be independent of thermal treatment. These data provide indirect evidence that hyperthermic treatment does not modify the kinetics of epithelial proliferation or alter the progress of early radiation reactions
