Description
Some R and Ds to realize an energy source based on nuclear fusion reaction on the earth have been promoted. Among them , JT-60, a critical plasma testing apparatus of the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute showed a lot of researching results so as to lead the nuclear fusion research in the world to largely contribute to promotion of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) Plan. For example, by recent R and D in the JT-60, some forecastings on realization of current forming efficiency, steady operation of high performance plasma, and so on, required for ITER could be acquired. Here was outlined on flow of nuclear fusion research and also introduced on recent results on JT-60 upgrading feasibility of realization on the steady operation of the ITER. (G.K.)
