The exact solution of the relativistic equation of motion of a charged particle driven by an elliptically polarized electromagnetic wave
Description
An exact solution of the relativistic equation of motion of a charged particle driven by an elliptically polarized electromagnetic wave has been obtained. The method employed for this purpose is simple, and the results of earlier authors for the linearly and circularly polarized waves, can be recovered as special cases of the solution. Solution of the relativistic equation of motion (REM) of a charged particle in an electromagnetic (EM) field is of fundamental importance having applications in many areas such as plasma physics and particle acceleration
