Comparison between γN→πN and πN→rhoN in the resonance region up to √s=1.75GeV via the vector-dominance-model

Description

The helicity amplitudes are displayed for the Nrho system for each J(P) state of the Nπ system in the reaction Nπ→Nrho. The amplitudes are obtained from a K-matrix fit to amplitudes of the reaction Nπ→Nπ and Nπ→Nππ (via the isobar model). We then take either: 1) these amplitudes or: 2) the resonance couplings estimated from these amplitudes and compare them to the photoproduction amplitudes via the V.D.M. Two possible kinematics are considered for the Nrho system below it threshold. These four methods give a range in which the V.D.M. can be accommodated even at this low energy

Abstract (French)

On donne les amplitudes d'helicie du systeme Nrho pour chaque etat J(P) du systeme Nπ dans la reaction Nπ→Nrho. On obtient ces amplitudes a partir d'un ajustement de la matrice K pour les amplitudes de la reaction Nπ→Nπ et Nπ→Nππ (a l'aide du modele isobar). On prend ensuite soit: 1) ces amplitudes, soit: 2) les constantes de couplage deduites de ces amplitudes de photoproduction a travers le modele de dominance vectorielle. On considere deux cinematiques possibles pour le systeme Nrho en dessous du seuil. Ces quatre modeles donnent un domaine dans lequel le modele a dominance vectoriel peut etre adapte meme a cette faible energie
