Superconductive properties of the Chevrel-phase system Cu/sub x/Mo6S8 with x = 3.2 to 3.9
- 1. Moskovskij Inst. Stali i Splavov (USSR)
Description
Samples of the series Cu/sub x/Mo6S8 with x = 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, and 3.9 were prepared by mixing, pressing, and sintering powders of Cu2S, Mo2S3, and Mo. The lattice parameters are given. The superconductive transition temperature T/sub c/ has been determined with an inductive technique. The upper critical field H/sub c2/ was measured in fields up to 6 T and shows a linear dependence on temperature. High pressure measurements of T/sub c/ and critical field slope were carried out for Cu/sub 3.9/Mo6S8
