In-service inspection of process instruments and reactivity control mechanisms

Nuclear research reactors, like any other operating process plant, employ a large number of instruments for monitoring process parameters. Besides monitoring the parameters, these instruments also protect the primary systems against unacceptable deviations and activate safety devices.
