Mud: low activity radionuclides stabilisation
Creators
Description
The principle of the method is to make a pyrolysis with the mud in a rotative furnace, in a reducing medium at a temperature between 125 and 200 degrees celsius and with pressure between 0 and 50 pascals. The radioisotopes are concentrated in the solid phase in a reduced volume and stabilized. The gas vapors are condensed and cleaned and separated water is treated before release. (N.C.)
