Results of development of the pulse modulators for HF power supply of a meson-factory first section accelerator

The circuits, designs and test results of the M-1 and MW power pulse modulators of the HF system of the first section of a meson factory accelerator are described. The M-1 modulators are intended for supplying the anode circuits of the output stages of a HF generator. The MW modulators are intended for supplying the anode circuits of the preliminary amplifier and screen grid of the HF generator. The M-1 and MW modulators have the following respective parameters: controlled pulse voltage up to 40 and 8 kV; pulse current up to 300 and 25 A; pulse power up to 12 and 0.2 MW; and pulse front duration 5 μs. Tests show the modulators to be in conformity with all the required energy parameters
