Study of gamma-transitions in 97Rh and 99Rh nuclei

Description

The results of experimental investigation of the 97Pd beta decay produced in the 96Ru(α, 3n) reaction at Esub(α)=30-50 MeV are presented. The 97Pd half-life was found to be 3.0+-0.2 min. Data on the γ-transition energies (Esub(γ)) and relative intensities (Isub(γ)) of 97Rh produced in the 97Pd decay, as well as on Isub(γ) of prompt gamma radiation in the 98Ru(p, 2nγ)97Rh at Esub(p)=30 MeV are reported. The 97Rh levels identified are as follows: 266.0, 475.4; 940.5 and 1059.0 keV. Analysis of the gamma spectra in the α-reactions on ruthenium targets enriched with 98Ru at Esub(α)=30-50 MeV made it possible to identify an atomic mass with A=99 as 99Rh. Esub(γ) and Isub(γ) of the γ-transitions and a part of the 99Rh energy level scheme are presented
