The structure of 27Mg from the 26Mg (d, pγ) reaction

Description
The excited states of 27Mg have been investigated up to Esub(x) = 7,976 keV using the 26Mg(d, pγ) reaction. A measurement of proton-γ-ray angular correlations at Esub(d) = 6.5 MeV has yielded spin-parity assignments or restrictions of levels up to Esub(x) = 6,508 keV and accurate excitation energies and branching ratios of levels up to Esub(x) = 7,976 keV, respectively. The Doppler-shift attenuation of γ-rays has been measured at Esub(d) = 5.5 MeV yielding information on the lifetimes of levels up to Esub(x) = 6,009 keV. The properties of positive-parity levels up to Esub(x) = 5 MeV are successfully reproduced by recent shell-model calculations. The rotational model is also applicable to the description of collective properties without reaching the overall agreement of the shell model. The negative-parity states are well described by the rotational model. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die angeregten Zustaende von 27Mg wurden bis zu Esub(x) = 7.976 keV ueber die 26Mg(d, pγ) Reaktion untersucht. Eine Messung von Proton-Gamma-Winkelkorrelationen bei Esub(d) = 6,5 MeV lieferte Spin-Paritaetszuordnungen oder Einschraenkungen fuer Niveaus bis zu Esub(x) = 6.508 keV und genaue Anregungsenergien und Mischungsverhaeltnisse von Niveaus bis zu Esub(x) = 7.976 keV. Lebensdauer von Niveaus bis zu Esub(x) = 6.009 keV wurden ueber die Doppler-Shift bestimmt. Die Eigenschaften von Zustaenden mit positiver Paritaet werden durch neue Schalenmodell-Rechnungen gut wiedergegeben. Ebenso ist das Rotationsmodell fuer die Beschreibung von kollektiven Eigenschaften und von Zustaenden mit negativer Paritaet anwendbar. (orig.)Additional details
