Effects of strong secondary electron emission on a plasma layer
Creators
Description
We investigate the stationary distribution of plasma parameters and electric field in the wall region where the coefficient of secondary electron emission exceeds unity. We show that there exist two forms of the solution to Poisson's equation, corresponding to negative and positive charge next to the wall relative to the plasma. We determine the rate of plasma electron cooling due to contact with the wall
