Neutron transmission function for the unresolved resonance range
Creators
Description
Neutron transmission function for an unresolved resonance range is determined by means of an approXimate model of cross section energy dependence. Analysis of data on neutron transmission through iron samples as a function of their thickness for different energy groups illustrates the possibility of a satisfactory description of the experiment in the suggested scheme Using average resonance parameters of d- and p-neutrons and one additional parameter characterizing the minimum cross section in the group range. The suggested method is concluded to have certain advantages in accuracy of experimental data reproduction as compared with the subgroup method
