Description

Absorptive parts of penguin amplitudes allow for CP-violatin partial rate asymmetries in charmless B-meson decays. QCD induce charmless B decays occur at the 1-2% level inclusively. The possibility is investigated of whether CP-violation can be studied in this inclusive process. It is found that due to the uniqueness of the three generation standard model (SM3) and the demands of CPT, there exists a strong cancellation of asymmetrie in this inclusive mode. This inclusive process may serve as a window to new physics such as the existence of a 4th fermion generation. (author). 1 fig., 7 refs
