Luminescence determination of terbium and dysprosium using complexes with tetrametyl ester of bicyclo[3.3.1]-nonane-2,6-dion-1,3,5,7-tetracarboxylic acid

Description
It is established by luminescence and IR-spectrometric methods that tetramethyl ester of bicyclo (3.3.1)-nonane-2,6-dion-1,3,5,7-tetracarboxylic acid forms complex compounds with lanthanide ions, in which Tbsup(3+) and Dysup(3+) luminesce intensively. Optimal conditionsfor complexing are found, the composition of the compounds studied (Ln:ligand=1:2) is established. The complex compounds studied are used as aalytical forms to determine terbium and dysprosium in lanthanide oxides. The relative standard deviation for terbium is (0.23-0.91)x10sup(-4), the detection limit - 0.005 μg/ml
