Preliminary results obtained by X-ray photometer onboard IK - 11 satellite

Description
Three detectors were used: a scintillation detector for the region 6.5 to 100 keV, a proportional counter with beryllium window for the region 1 to 8 keV and a proportional counter with titanium window for the region 0.3 to 0.5 keV. The course of X radiation is recorded in eight channels in dependence on time. A solar flare was observed in which the hard X radiation component preceded the soft component by almost 2 mins. The electron temperature of the source was calculated from the intensity ratio in two neighbouring channels. The short-term change in the spectrum of X radiation (within the range of 4 mins) and the long-term fluctuation of the X radiation level in 8 channels is reported for a period of two months (June, July 1974).
