Description
The nucleon momentum distribution is studied with particular emphasis on heavy nuclei. The effects of both the mean-field and short-range correlations are discussed. The latter are included using a method based on the local density approximation. A systematic comparison with the predictions of other theoretical approaches is presented. (orig.)
