Description
The nuclear risk is a present-day topic subject to many debates and much contestation. For an objective analysis the civilian and military nuclear cycles, their nuisance value and their dangers in normal working conditions and in case of accident are considered, and appropriate comparisons are made. It appears that the reality of the nuclear risk is rather different from the way it is perceveid and that the dimensions of its components must be measured comparatively. Emphasis is laid on major nuclear accidents which are particular in that they cause real immediate damage and uncertain late damage

Le risque nucleaire est une question d'actualite, objet de debats et de contestations. Pour le cerner objectivement, on envisage les cycles nucleaires civil et militaire, leurs nuisances et leurs risques en marche normale et en cas d'accident ainsi que des comparaisons adequates. Il en ressort que la realite du risque est assez eloignee de sa perception et que les dimensions de ses composantes sont a comparer. L'accent est mis sur les accidents nucleaires majeurs.
