The FOTIA (Folded Tandem Ion Accelerator) is an electrostatic accelerator with maximum terminal voltage of 6 MV and is being used for various experiments at BARC. The various health hazards associated with FOTIA are radiation exposure, oxygen deficiency caused due to accidental release of sulfur-hexa-fluoride (SF6), unauthorized entry into high voltage area like ion source cage
