Prediction of inelastic response of a Ni-based superalloy under thermal-mechanical cyclic loading

  • 1. Bundesanstalt fuer Materialforschung und -pruefung (BAM), Berlin (Germany)

Description

The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the capability of Chaboche's model to describe non-isothermal uni- and multiaxial cyclic hardening behavior of the Ni-based superalloy IN 738 LC. Applications of a temperature-rate term in the evolution equation of isotropic hardening are shown in several thermal-mechanical LCF (TMF) tests. The model predictions are compared with the experimental material responses. (author)
