Description
The equilibrium state of closing curvalinear element (CCEL) in the form of two periods of pentaperiod helical torus with geodesic axis is investigated experimentally and by calculation methods. It is shown that toroidal drift at CCEL boundaries is very small, i.e. Pfirsch-Schlueter currents short to the spacial solenoid within the limits of equilibrium element. The introduction of a disturbing magnetic field neither affects notably CCEL equilibrium state nor changes its length
