A fundamental study on sodium-water reaction in the double pool LMFBR, (2)

Description
Basic tests on pressure wave propagation were carried out in order to evaluate the pressue rise by large sodium-water reaction in the Double Pool LMFBR. These tests were focused on the pressue wave attenuation in the secondary sodium cold plenum. In the first half of this study, pressure wave attenuation in the open space that had no structure near the bottom end of the SG shell were measured as a function of the distance from the SG shell end. In the latter half of this study, effects on the pressure attenuation by the structures such as the primary or secondary vessel were investigated. (author)
