The optical and electron microscopical examination of molybdenum and tungsten
Description
The introduction is followed by a discussion of the problem of embrittlement in molybdenum, tungsten and their alloys as a result of the condition of the grain boundaries. In addition to the grain boundary impurities the presence of sintering pores represents an analytical and metallographic problem. The formation of the overlapping fibre structure during the manufacture of tungsten wire serves as an example of the potential of optical and scanning electron microscopy as investigatory methods. Nach einer Einfuehrung wird das Problem der Versproedung von Molybdaen und Wolfram sowie ihrer Legierungen infolge unterschiedlicher Belegung der Korngrenzen diskutiert. Neben Korngrenzenverunreinigungen bringen auch die Sinterporen analytische und metallographische Probleme. Das Entstehen des Stapeldrahtgefueges bei der Herstellung von Wolframdraht dient als Beispiel fuer die Moeglichkeiten der licht- und rasterelektronenmikroskopischen Untersuchungsmethoden (orig.)Additional details
